Getting there and back
Metro, the airport, taxis and the western road.
Inside the city
Metro line 1 runs from the Vakilabad side toward Hasheminejad Airport in the southeast and comes near the centre. Openings and station names change; read that day’s official sign and do not treat this page as a metro map.
Where the metro does not reach, there are taxis, ride-hailing and buses. We have not frozen a fare here.
Outside the city
The western road goes to Golestan Dam, Torghabeh and Shandiz. The Friday-evening return is slow. Kalat and Akhlamad are other roads, and each wants a day of its own.
With a lot of luggage the airport is sometimes simpler by taxi than by metro. On a major holy day, allow more time to the shrine.
