A historic dome in the old fabric of the city. Smaller than the shrine and Nader Shah, and not a half-day on its own.
What to expect
Gonbad-e Sabz is a historic building of Mashhad itself, not a large pilgrimage complex. If you are walking the old quarter it is worth a stop. Do not compare its scale with the shrine. Read restoration notes and visiting hours on that day’s sign.
