Out of town
Kalat and the Sun Palace
A wall-like valley in the northeast and the Sun Palace, from Nader’s era. It does not combine with a city tour.
Why it takes a day
Kalat-e Naderi is a natural fortress: a valley whose walls are the rampart. The Sun Palace is the clearest building inside it and belongs to Nader Shah’s period. The road is mountainous.
Check fuel, water and the road before you leave. Winter ice is serious. Do not attach this road to the shrine or to Shandiz on the same day.
