Nature
Kang village
A stepped village west of Mashhad. The roof of each house is the yard of the one above. Come for the fabric, not for bulk shopping.

The village
Kang is sometimes compared with Masuleh because the houses step up the slope. The lanes are stone and steep. Walnut gardens and the view of the valley are the reason to stay, not a souvenir window.
Wear suitable shoes. The road comes from the Torghabeh side. If you also want Jagharq, both fit a western day if you leave in the morning.
Light and the evening
Sunset on the slope is kinder than flat noon light. Staying until dark means accepting the road back. This page does not reserve a car. The separate Jahan Hotel tour is another route, and its form is on the tour page.
